GulfSouth Families,

Registration – We are currently ten (10) days away from the start of the 2025/2026 season.  A good number of families still have not:

  • Completed their registration.
  • Processed their scholarship awards; or
  • Acted upon open ECNL-RL related invoices in TeamSnap.

Please complete your registration as soon as possible.  We have created new TeamSnap teams.  If a player is missing from that new roster, that means the respective family has not completed their registration.  Please reach out to Brian Maas, GulfSouth Registrar at Registrar@gulfsouthsoccer.com if you have any questions or need help completing your registration.

New Club Policies – The club is proud to announce the adoption of a comprehensive set of new club policies for the 2025/2026 season.  These policies represent the collaborative efforts of the entire Board of Directors and the Directors of Coaching, ensuring fair, balanced, and forward-thinking guidelines as we evolve from a grassroots program to a leading regional club.

This policy overhaul reaffirms our club’s unwavering commitment to player development, transparent operations, and maintaining the integrity of competition.  Our leadership worked diligently to strike the appropriate balance between fostering young athletes and sustaining a culture of healthy competition – two ideals that don’t always align in the landscape of youth sports.

Any questions or concerns regarding playing time, training, or team-specific matters should be directed to the Director of Coaching – Player Development, Jayson Houp, who will work directly with team coaches to address and resolve issues constructively.

As the youth soccer environment continues to evolve-including anticipated changes such as the 2026–2027 national birth year restructuring, the club’s policies will remain dynamic and adaptable.

We encourage all members of the club – players, parents/guardians, and staff – to carefully review the new club policies, now available on our website at https://www.gulfsouthsoccer.com/documents-and-forms/.  The new club policies address the following subjects:

  • Policy for Setting a Team Roster;
  • Formation of a Black and Blue/White Team and Roster Sizes;
  • Playing Time Policy;
  • Policy for Playing Up in an Older Age Group;
  • Policy for Guest Players;
  • Player Attendance Policy;
  • Tournament Policy;
  • Fee Schedule and Discount Policy;
  • Financial Good Standing;
  • Refund Policy; and
  • Coach Expense Reimbursement Policy.

If you have any questions or need clarification, please get in touch with the President or the Vice President of the Board of Directors, or reach out directly to the Directors of Coaching.

Together, we grow.  Together, we play. Together, we win.

Very Respectfully,

Donnie Field
