Why Rush Soccer and ECNL?
We acknowledge the significance of holistic development for both players and the front office of a club. At Rush Soccer, our unwavering focus is on equipping our valued partners with the necessary resources and support to foster the growth of their club, enabling them to establish a dominant presence within their local community. Experience the unparalleled Rush Soccer difference today and discover why there is no place quite like it.
Rush Soccer is an international non-profit soccer organization that affiliates with local clubs to create the world's largest youth soccer network. Founded in Colorado, it offers a comprehensive curriculum, resources, and networking opportunities to its partners, helping them grow and develop players for the national stage.
It's not about trophies. It's about pathways, purpose, and potential.
With national scouting, collegiate showcases, and a clear pipeline to the next level, ECNL provides unmatched access to college coaches and recruiting opportunities.
Not every player starts at the top. ECNL and ECNL-RL bridge the gap, offering ambitious players a chance to prove themselves, develop, and advance beyond local and regional play. It's not just a league--it's a launchpad.
Iron sharpens iron. The ECNL and ECNL-RL environments push athletes to grow in a league and showcase format that friendlies and regular tournament play often can't match.

GulfSouth Rush Soccer Academy

Partnering with Watford FC professional Jorell Johnson of International Soccer Academy, our Academy builds the area’s youth soccer foundation—giving kids (5-8 years) the skills to shine in recreational play today and confidently transition into competitive play tomorrow.
The Academy is not a replacement for Walton County rec soccer but an ideal complement—providing a safe, engaging environment where young athletes build confidence, creativity, and essential skills through purposeful play until they are ready for more competitive play. With a focus on early development and a love for the game, the GulfSouth Soccer Academy lays the foundation for long-term growth both on and off the field.
We offer two convenient locations in north and south Walton County to complement Walton County's recreation programs in Freeport and Santa Rosa Beach.
Every session is packed with energy, smiles, and excitement!
We build strong, active kids through purposeful movement and play.
Dribbling, passing, finishing, and decision-making, taught the right way by former professional players in age-appropriate activities and small-sided games.

At GulfSouth RUSH, we go beyond the basics. Our competitive club soccer teams are designed for families seeking more than just weekend rec games with daddy-ball coaches. We provide development, challenge, and opportunity led by professional coaches with years of club, collegiate, and professional playing and coaching.
Travel: Tournament travel is a key part of player development at GulfSouth: most teams attend 2–3 events each Fall and Spring, typically within 1–4 hours of Santa Rosa Beach, where a weekend of quality games against new opponents accelerates learning in real match settings. Local friendlies include games against clubs in Niceville, Panama City, and Destin.
Training/Practice: Mandatory team training is typically held twice a week at Walton Sports Complex, with specialty training like technical ball-mastery, speed/agility/quickness, and goal-keeper training held as separate sessions and included at no extra cost to players/families.
Licensed coaches, age-appropriate training plans, clear playing-time and development standards, and regular feedback to families.
Club teams that match your child’s age and level, with opportunities for elite players to play for our regional ECNL team in Pensacola, a sensible tournament/schedule load, and teams placed at the right competition level.
Positive, player-first environment with safeguarding policies, certified trainers/first-aid, clear communication, and upfront costs (fees, uniforms, travel).
Speed | Agility | Quickness (SAQ) Training
Current Session: Every Wednesday 6:00 - 6:45 | 7:00 - 7:45
Free to all club members
GulfSouth has partnered with Coach Jacob of FitClub30A to provide dedicated Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ) training for every player in our club—at no additional cost. These sessions focus on movement quality first (proper mechanics, balance, and coordination), then build acceleration, change-of-direction, and game-speed reactions that translate directly to the field. Players gain confidence, sharper footwork, and better injury-resistant habits while coaches integrate SAQ outcomes into team training plans. It’s a simple promise: stronger, faster movers become smarter, safer soccer players—and every GulfSouth athlete gets access.
Improves acceleration, deceleration, and change-of-direction so players win 50/50s, close space, and create separation.
Builds balance, footwork, and body control—cleaner touches, sharper turns, and quicker reactions under pressure.
Emphasizes proper mechanics (landing, cutting, posture) to reduce strain and help players stay healthy and available.

Technical Training | Futsal | Ball Mastery
Current Session: Rotates Daily w/ Specific Teams
Free to all club members
We’re excited to welcome Coach Fabio to GulfSouth to lead technical training, futsal, and ball mastery—the core skills that turn good players into complete players. His sessions sharpen first touch, weak-foot competence, close control, and 1v1 creativity, while futsal’s tight spaces and constant transitions build quick decisions, faster feet, and composure under pressure. Players will see the difference on full-sided fields: cleaner receiving, quicker patterns of play, smarter movement, and more confidence in the final third—all foundations for long-term development.
Precise receiving, passing, striking, and body shape habits turn tactics into actions—fewer turnovers, faster tempo, and more impact in the final third.
Repetition with both feet (turns, feints, shielding, 1v1 moves) creates comfort under pressure and the ability to keep possession in any area of the field.
Tight spaces and constant transitions force quick thinking, clean first touches, and rapid combination play that transfer directly to the pitch.
