The GulfSouth Soccer Club '06 girls team did a beach clean up on Sunday. Twenty members of the team along with parents and siblings met at Grayton Beach to lend a hand in cleaning up the beach after Hurricane Sally. Although flooding caused the majority of the damage in our area, the storm blew in trash and debris. Many of these soccer players lived through Hurricane Michael and felt compelled to give back in some way after Sally. When this group is not cleaning the beach, they are working hard on the soccer field. The GulfSouth '06 Girls are ranked 13th in the state of Florida and have beaten many of the top teams in Alabama and Mississippi. These girls also serve as role models for the 2010 girls team and a few of them joined for the clean up as well. We are proud of these girls and how they represent South Walton on and off the field.
